Choosing the right device
Not every power-quality problem is a surge. High-frequency line noise — from variable-frequency drives, welders, radio transmitters, or neighboring equipment — causes lockups, communication errors, and misreads that a surge suppressor alone won't fix. Islatrol™ active tracking filters continuously follow the AC sine wave and shunt the noise riding on it.
Choose by circuit current rating (the IC series covers common branch-circuit sizes) and pair a conditioner with a surge suppressor when equipment needs both noise immunity and transient protection.
